Nellie's obituary

Nellie Grace, 23, was an energetic, fierce, smart, forgiving, and beautiful woman. She loved to laugh, eat delicious food, play hockey, rollerblade, quote Spongebob, hang out with her cat Carlos and chat about anything and everything. You never knew what you would talk about with her, but it was always an experience. Nellie loved hard.

Nellie was the family princess from the day she was born. The youngest of her sisters, her birthday was on Christmas Day but we made sure she knew she was a very special girl. Each year, a throne would be made for her and a crown placed atop the family “birthday hat”, but she made it known always that she was a badass and could never be overshadowed. She always stood up for herself, pushed others to do the same, and knew that she had more life to live. Nellie refused to follow the “status quo”,  she always wanted to just be herself, what ever that looked like at any given time, though she would never be caught being “basic.” She loved her “sick kicks” (shoe collection) and how she could express herself with neon bedazzled accessories. Oh and she was very proud of her winged eyeliner…you couldn’t miss it. She had an infectious cackle, often joking about eating cake that looked like fried chicken (the best of both worlds she’d say.) She loved watching Americas Funniest Home Videos, and poking fun at her sisters. She was confident in her humor and we will forever miss her care free spirit. She was a ray of sunshine in so many peoples lives.

We will keep her in our hearts, always. We hope that this can be a place to share the stories you have with our beautiful Nellie. If you are looking for ways to celebrate Nellie, get yourself some fried chicken, pasta salad or some corn dogs. But don’t you dare eat a vegetable. Watch some mindless TV like "The Kardashians", "Bobs Burgers", or "The Office" and imagine Nellie chilling beside you. We love you Nell.

The Clancy family is NOT asking for financial assistance or in need of that support at this time. While we appreciate everyone’s thoughtfulness around this, we want to be clear that we are not fundraising.
