Background
Shoults Memorial Fundraiser for My Father, Mother and Brother
Jim Shoults was a Navy chief till 1987 when retiring from US Customs. He passed away October 26, 2016 when he succumbed to Parkinson’s disease.
James “Jay” Shoults a BASAC INC. member, Salvation Army volunteer and member of the first Baptist Church Orange Park, Florida. Passed away on June 26, 2022 due to complications after a lifelong battle with Spina Bifida.
Betsy Shoults was a retired banker. Whose family was her passion and being with them gave her endless joy. She passed away November 29, 2022 succumbing to her illness with Interstitial Lung Disease. Thankfully she passed peacefully here at home with family by her side.
They all wish to be buried together in our family‘s cemetery in Alabama. Since they’ve all been cremated I just need to purchase the headstones.
Over the last decade, I have been caregiver to all three, plus 3 granddaughters. This last two year has been the hardest I’ve had to face; with never ending doctors appointments, visits to the ER, hospital and recovery centers. For my daughter, my brother and my mother.
Less than 48 hours before my brother passed, my doctor told me that I would have to have a hysterectomy. They found a mass inside my uterus that is almost twice the size as my uterus. I’ve been putting off the surgery not knowing what was going to happen with my Family. (I still don’t)
I truly am at a loss!
I had thought losing my own husband Wes Scrape to suicide on July 20, 2013 would’ve been the toughest thing I would ever have to deal with but no, watching my family members die in front of me slowly, has hurt my soul more than anything! Along with My daughter’s estrangement and my grandchildren being taken away by the in-laws (because of said daughter) and not even allowing me any form of contact with my own granddaughters. Even though their parents signed over their parental rights for me to have temporary custody through the court system and I have been their primary guardian, raising each one since birth. It’s just me now, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Broken-hearted Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother & Granny 💔😢💔
Thank you,
