Nelda Dalton, born May 2, 1944, sadly departed this life on October 6, 2025. Nelda will be remembered fondly for her love of the color Red, her enjoyment of Diet Coke, her passion for Vince Gill's music, and her favorite TV Show: Little House on the Prairie. A keen player of Yahtzee, she also found joy in crossword puzzles and coloring, simple pleasures that brought warmth and contentment to her life.

Her greatest accomplishments, however, were undoubtedly her love-filled family bonds, particularly with her children and grandchildren, who survive her. Among them, her devoted daughters Jamie Bergeron, Sandra Dalton, and Tina Judy Horne, steadfast husband James Dalton, adoring grandson Nicolaus Roberts, cherished granddaughter Gaberielle Martin, grandson Leland Martin Dalton, and granddaughter Aria Bergeron.

Nelda was predeceased by her son, Donald Judy Jr., and John Dalton. She was also predeceased by her parents, William Powell and Stella Harrell, and her brother, Steven Powell, and sisters, Shirley Powell and Sandra Wright. Her family was always central to Nelda's heart, and their memories live on within her and those they have left behind.

A burial for Nelda Dalton will be held on October 13, 2025, at 8:00 PM at Carolina Funeral Home & Gardens. In remembering Nelda’s life, we invite you to celebrate her spirit and cherish the love she shared with those around her.

Her loss leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones, but her memory continues to inspire them. Nelda will be sorely missed, yet her legacy lives on in the love and values she instilled in her family.
