I first met Neil at Montgomery College in Tacoma Park. He was with Kirk Palmer and they both were practicing with their trumpets along with an instructor Kirk knew. Neil was very gracious and it took a few times meeting him before I realized he has a quirky sense of humor.

I met Neil in the Greenbelt Concert Band. He played the trumpet. He was a very nice person, and I enjoyed talking with him.

Another fun lunch with Neil, Jean, Jeannie, and Kirk on the What's App screen from Poland!
It was 1981 or 2 or thereabouts. I needed a place to live. Charlie and Neil needed a third roommate. And, as Neil always said, I had cash. It was a match made in heaven and started a wonderful friendship.

Who is this good looking guy?…

Who is this good looking guy? Neil, the best man at Charlie and Liz’s wedding.
Memories of our many lunches over the years, non-stop laughs!  Sometimes Neil would get so raucous, we'd have to rein him in!!

Neil and I rented bicycles to ride to the head of Kinsale, the lighthouse. As we were getting ready to ride, the owners` dog took an interest in Neil. We then rode and had tea with the lighthouse keeper and then rode back towards evening. As we were putting the bikes up, the owners' dog took an acute interest inNeil, so much so, that the dog jumped up on Neil with his front paws clasping Neil’s shoulder, Neil and I were shocked, but then Neil looks down at the dog and says" sorry I am not your type"!

I was shocked and saddened when J told me you passed away :( The GCB will miss your trumpet playing and kindness. May God comfort J. Thanks for how you both love the Greenbelt Community.

A random but perfect moment with my Uncle Neil at his 70th birthday party. I stored this file as "Neil joy" because, well, that's what it is. What a joyful person; what an amazing Uncle. — with Neil Williamson and J Davis
