Neil's obituary
Neil Marshall, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, and adventurer, was born on August 4, 1975, and tragically passed away on December 25, 2023. His life was marked by his outgoing personality, a brilliant sense of humor, a tireless work ethic, and a boundless capacity for love. Neil was a beacon of joy and a source of inspiration for all who had the honor of knowing him.
A man of vast achievements, Neil's proudest moments were often found during his global travels covering around 30 countries, mostly in Europe and all over the Americas. His strong desire to learn, experience new cultures, people and food led him on incredible adventures around the world. These experiences enriched his life and left him with countless stories that he shared with enthusiasm and humor.
Neil could also be found playing sports over the duration of his life. Most notably, participating in lacrosse and hockey as a child and continuing his love of hockey into adulthood where he played with the ASHL Sharks, and forged lifelong friendships. He also forayed into running, completing the Disney World Marathon in 2013 along with numerous other races by himself, with friends, his wife and daughters. He was an avid scuba diver, and enjoyed many hours underwater exploring wrecks and marine life, a passion he has passed on to his daughter, Seraphina. Golf was a huge passion for Neil, having multiple years of playing 50+ rounds, traveling all over to play incredible courses, enjoying tournaments and rounds with TW, the Chief, the Captain and many other golf buddies. He had a true love of the game and the camaraderie that came along with it.
Neils's life lessons, however, were his greatest legacy. He believed in treating everyone with kindness, a principle he lived by in his daily life. In business, he took great joy and pride in the relationships that he forged with clients, employees and coworkers. This principle, combined with his warm spirit and unending generosity, touched countless lives. He instilled this ethos in all those around him, ensuring his legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on.
His family will be forever grateful for the compassion, love and excellent care he received from the staff of 4 South at NCH, as well as from his primary care physician, Dr. Menichello. They all went above and beyond to not only provide him with great care, but also show him warmth, humanity, and positivity. Neil, Kristin and the girls were able to navigate cancer treatment with light, love and laughter because of their support.
Neil is survived by his loving wife, Kristin Marshall, who stood by his side throughout his journey for the past 13 years, as well as their daughters, Seraphina (9) and Audrianna (7).
