I just learned of Neil’s passing this week while in California. I always appreciated Neil as someone who was naturally honest and honorable. I missed his presence when he left gsf, and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family.

This came as a shock to both my wife and myself. It seems like only yesterday that we attended Neil's first wedding in Hunstanton Norfolk. Neil was a valued member of the management team at Warner Jenkinson King's Lynn Norfolk England in the 1990's. Our thoughts are with the family of Neil.

It was with great shock and sadness I have just heard of Neil's passing. I knew him when we were all in our 20's in London, living life, weddings, a trip to south america and getting lost on Lake Titicaca, so much laughter, and time spent together in Islington. I got to meet him once in LA and he still had his zest for life, humor, love for his children, Dr Who and always right :) I will miss you. You were a great light. Nicola

Sincere condolences to Neil’s family on his untimely passing. I was very saddened to hear this news. I worked with Neil on a good few transactions around the world with Kerry and he was always a joy to meet, work with and chat to. May he rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Neil’s passing. I had the privilege of working with him at Kerry for two years and came to admire not only his wisdom in business but also his warmth, integrity, and humility. Neil was the kind of leader who earned respect quietly, through action and insight, and he carried himself with a calm presence that made working alongside him a true pleasure.
His legacy in the food industry is undeniable, but even more lasting is the impact he made on those around him — colleagues, friends, and loved ones alike. As I reflect on his memory, I find comfort in the words of Psalm 23:4:
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
May God comfort his family during this time, and may Neil rest in eternal peace. His memory will remain a blessing to all of us who knew him.
With deepest sympathy,
Vilson Antonio Simon

Dear Neil and Family,
We are truly sorry to hear about your loss. As neighbours, we remember our first meeting with Neil. He welcomed us with a smile and mentioned he wasn’t usually so social, but couldn’t resist saying hello to fellow Brits. We appreciated that friendly gesture.
Neil was always ready to help out and as the obituary says share his thoughts.
His legacy lives on through his five wonderful children. We know he had a big impact on their lives.
Please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Neil will be missed, and if there’s anything we can do to support you and your family, please let us know.
With sympathy,
The Smiths
