Nathan's obituary

Nathaniel "Nathan" Reese, who was born on May 15, 2003, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023. While many knew him as Nathan, he often preferred Nathaniel. A man of great kindness and generous heart, Nathaniel left a legacy of love, always extending a helping hand to anyone, irrespective of the circumstance.

Nathaniel is fondly remembered and deeply missed by his devoted mother, Stephanie Reese, his compassionate sister, Katie Reese, his loving brother, Noah Mackey and his dear niece, La'Zanya Reese. His life partner, Alison Buckner, along with their step-child, Lucy Buckner, mourn his loss along with his other niece, Sammie R. He is also survived by his caring step-mother, Kathy Reese.

An ardent food lover, Nathaniel had a special affinity for barbeques and appreciated all kinds of cuisine, with a particular fondness for the delicacies prepared by his sister Kaitlyn. His favorite beverages included coca cola and monster energy drinks. Among his much-loved local spots were the Mountain lookout, Chateau white water rafting, and having a pleasant time fly fishing with his father.

Passionate about helping others, Nathaniel was deeply committed to causes related to foster children and aiding those struggling with drug addiction. His favorite color reflected his love for life and nature - green.

In memory of Nathaniel, a service will be held at 10:00 PM on August 19, 2023, at the Pipkin Braswell Funeral Home & Cremation. As we remember Nathaniel, let us honor his legacy of generous love and kindness. He was always willing to help anyone, and it is this sense of unconditional love and support that Nathaniel will forever be remembered for.
