Nathan "Nate" Gruwell went home to Jesus on March 15, 2024 at age 59. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Nate was born to Merrill and Patricia Gruwell on January 27, 1965 in Whittier, California. As a child, he loved playing for hours in the backyard, or out in the neighborhood on his bike with his friends. Nate met his ex-wife, Cecile, in college; they married in 1987, had one child, Nicolle (Nikki), and he was a dedicated and loving father. Anyone who knew Nate, knew that he was warm, friendly, and all around awesome. He was a Real Estate professional for over 25 years, maintained an immense passion for being outdoors, and was always a source of positivity. Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. Nate joins his mother, Patricia, in Heaven. He is survived by his father Merrill, sister Tracey and her family, and his daughter Nikki and her family. Nate’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
