Reading this, it feels like just yesterday that you would call me at home and say, “Come over—I’ve got a new movie we have to watch.” We laughed endlessly, ate together, played computer games, and shared countless moments that felt effortless and real. You always made me feel like I was in my own home - welcomed, comfortable, and understood.
Life, as it so often does, took precedence. We moved to different parts of the world, and time and distance created space between us. We may not have stayed as connected as I would have liked, but those moments we shared never left me. I carried them quietly, knowing they mattered.
To hear that you are no longer with us has left me truly shocked. Words cannot fully express what I feel or the weight of this loss. You lived with warmth, curiosity, and a generosity of spirit that made people feel seen and valued—just as you made me feel all those years ago.
Rest in peace, my brother.
Till we meet again.
