I knew Christy growing up with her through church and school. She was a sweet girl. I could tell her family meant a lot to her. It is sad that I live in St Louis , MO so we have not had the chance to know each other much as we went out to live our lives. My prayers go out to her family. It's hard to lose a Mother at any eage. Stay close to the things she taught and you will feel her close to you.
I am so sorry to hear that my dear, sweet friend Christy passed away. I have so many fond memories of our years growing up in Cannon 1st Ward. I was blessed to spend a lot of time in The Light home where I witnessed, first hand, what a hard worker and helpful daughter and big sister Christy was. Christy's awesome Mom was our 4H leader one summer. She taught "us girls" about baking. So much fun! Christy and I were able to share a vacation in California the summer before our Junior year in high school. We had a blast! Christy always set a good example for me. I am so proud of Christy and all that she accomplished in this life and I am especially proud of her for being a mother to four children. Christy was truly a righteous woman. I love you Christy! I will miss you my friend. Your friend, Lorna "McDermott" Parker
Rhett and Jamie, I am so sorry to hear of Christy's passing. She and I worked shoulder to shoulder for most of her years at Frost. We leaned on each other a lot during those years and became very close. Christy, you will be missed down here , but I know some of the pain and suffering you endured on this earth, so it's now time to fly pain free with the angels and enjoy their music for eternity. Love you Christy.
