Dear Nancy Gallagher and her beloved grandchildren,    I just read of NancyAnn's passing.   I only knew her as a young woman in high school.  She always looked lovely and was kind.      How wonderful for all of you to have received the love she offered.    May your lives be blessed as you continue on.

love and hugs,

Larry and Susanna Kimura

She was so loving and caring.…
She was so loving and caring. We hit it off together from the beginning. Also, I always loved her cooking too! I always wished I cooked like her but there was one problem, she loved cooking and i didn’t. I was a grateful recipient of something she loved. We did however, both love crafting and kids!!💕

I am posting this on behalf of my grandmother Nancy Gallagher.

The day NancyAnn was born, I was in labor for 36 hours with her. She was born breach with a cord wrapped around her neck. But she was beautiful. Her daddy looked at her and she smiled, he immediately fell in love with her. He thought she was the most beautiful baby he had ever seen.

She walked before she was 9 months old. It was around Christmas and she saw the Christmas tree and stood up spun around and plopped down in front of the Christmas tree. After that she never walked, she only ran.

She was very inventive and good with her words at a young age. She had such a strong interest in learning new things. She always wanted to be doing something. She'd help her mom do laundry and dishes as a toddler. That is just how NancyAnn was, she always wanted to help from such a young age. These are all traits that she carried through her entire life.

She got her first job at about 14 at Baskin Robbins. Where she would always get her family free ice cream. When she was about 16 she got a job at a craft store. They told her that if she could sew, that she could have any material she wanted. So she made clothing for the maniquins at the store and also made shirts for all of her brothers. The store would also let her give the clothes to her siblings after they were taken off of display.

NancyAnn participated 4-H club and always won first prize in sewing. She was a very good student and got good grades. NancyAnn made halloween costumes for her and her high school sweetheart Jeff. They dressed as a pirates.

NancyAnn was so beautiful and was always interested in fashion. In high school, she participated in multiple fashion shows and was a hair model for a  Joico while she was in college at Weber State.

NancyAnn helped make many wedding dresses for family and friends and also planned and decorated many weddings. She was a woman of many talents.

She really loved her children more than anything in the world. She was so proud of her kids.

Her grandma Tuttle loved her so much. She used to look her in the eyes and tell her she was her favorite. NancyAnn was always such a great help to her grandmother. She would come over to help clean.

One day, she was washing the inside of the living room window, her grandma Tuttle was so excited that she cried out in joy that NancyAnn had cleaned her whole house (although it was just a window). Grandma Tulle and NancyAnn were hugging for as long as they possibly could.

NancyAnn was wonderful and strong, she persevered through anything that was thrown her way. She raised her children to be loving, kind, accepting and to stay close. Above all else, She cherished her children and wanted them to stay together and raise their kids together.

     With Eternal Love,

     Nancy Gallagher

On the last leg of a long family road trip up highway 101. Nancy Ann was tasked with driving the last leg of the trip from Lava Hot Springs, Idaho to West Jordan, Utah, 160 miles of relatively wild landscape.

It was late in the evening, after a long day of swimming. Our mom & dad slept in the back of the suburban on a mattress, while 7 children slept haphazardly throughout the suburban. I was sat next to Nancy Ann with the responsibility of keeping her awake while driving home at night.

Nancy Ann  was nervous and rightfully so. The roads were lined with deer and previous mishaps, like an overheating engine and our loose trailer flipping on the highway, kept us on high alert.

With a few near misses of deer we kept our cool and eyes open while singing camp songs, popular music and ridiculous folk songs like You Can’t Get To Heaven. We laughed hysterically at the lines we made up and had a wonderful time doing one of Nancy Ann’s favorite things, singing.

My sweet sister was such a wonderful friend/sister. She helped me to learn to cook, sew, and laugh and play during difficult times. When our kids were little we often (almost daily) would talk and laugh about the stupid stuff. We spent our summers at pools with the kids and playing at each others homes. She helped me to be a mom.

She taught me that you could stick a bow to your baby girls head with sugar free gum and how to make gigantic bows as they got older and got hair.

We would celebrate Halloween together with the kids and other holidays. She was my connection to holidays because I didn’t have a spouse at the time who would celebrate them.

As the years progressed our lives changed and we didn’t see each other as often but when we got together we could spend hours laughing and at times crying. I knew she loved me and she knew I loved her. I will miss her deeply but I know I will see her again.

My favorite memory of Nancyann was when we were little jam and I would always go over and hang out. One time we all went to an Antelope Island and rollerbladed all over the island. I thought I was so cool also had no idea how to stop so it was definitely an adventure.

Also the time I believe it was sky and brooks maybe lex were fighting in the car and she pulled right over and told them to walk home it wasn’t very far but it was so funny to me!

She ment a lot to a lot of us and definitely will be missed! She was so creative and so good and making wedding dreams come true! (She pretty much did my whole wedding!) she was so talented! She was always there no matter what anytime. I will missed her greatly with her flying squirrel things and her delicious pistachio pie 😆. Love ya!

When we were little, Nancy Ann, Roland and I would make up long stories together. The stories could go on and on. They would usually start out pretty ridiculous and get more ridiculous as we added to the story. We would laugh so hard, and Nancy Ann and Roland seemed to take extra joy in getting me to laugh till I'd pee my pants.

We also really enjoyed riding the horse walker in our backyard.

When Nancy's family lived in our backyard, they lived in a mobile home. It was 10'X40', with seven children. John was a baby when they moved to West Jordan.

Once when our cousin Lisa came over to visit, we soaped down the whole length of the trailer and had the best time sliding from one end to the other using water from the bathtub. We created an awesome "slip-n-slide"!

I am so sorry you lost your mom and I know it was far too soon. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.

When thinking of Nancy Ann I remember how much life she had to her. She was so much fun to be around, late nights going to the bowling alley in pjs when I was a kid thinking I was so rebellious, to the parties she would throw the older I became and how her home was so open to everyone and the love she would share. Some of the best memories I have, have been with her and I feel so lucky to have known her.

I loved being around her and her presence she will be forever missed! Love you Nancy Ann!

I remember the family getting together at such a young age all the time. Some of the happiest memories I've ever had in my childhood honestly. All of my gallagher family was so full of life and still is, and only now am I realizing I cherrish those memories even more. I'm greatful for Nancy Ann bringing life to all of my most loving cousin's and aswell being a mother to me. She will always be here with all of us.
