Nancy Rhode, 79, passed away on October 11, 2025, in Sherwood, OR. Born on February 11, 1946 in Brooklyn NY, Nancy was a spirited and caring individual, cherished for her loving nature and devotion as a mother. A proud former New Yorker, she retained her distinctive accent despite years spent in California and Oregon.

Throughout her life, Nancy pursued a variety of careers, reflecting her diverse interests and abilities. She took particular pride in her medical training and service as an EMT. Her professional journey also included roles as a bank teller, chiropractic assistant, office manager, cashier, and travel agent.

Nancy's hobbies were an integral part of her life; she loved crocheting, engaging in arts and crafts, coloring, and photography. Her adventurous spirit was evident in her travels, having explored Ireland, Croatia, and Mexico solo. Nancy found joy in simple pleasures like raspberries, lime jello, and occasional indulgences at Taco Bell.

Family was the cornerstone of Nancy's life. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Kelly DeMeo and her husband Jeremy; sisters Barbara Nataro Guadagno, Rose Caruso Moul, Renee Caruso-Waage Younger; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Rhode and George Caruso, and sister Elizabeth Saccoccio.

Nancy's battle with cancer ended as she passed peacefully, now in the loving embrace of her siblings who departed before her. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nancy's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization she deeply admired.
