Nancy's obituary
Nancy Noland, age 71, of Ferguson, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, one day after celebrating her 71st birthday.
Nancy was born on September 6, 1954, to Josephine and William Boyce. She was the sixth of seven children and grew up surrounded by a large, close-knit family. In 1977, she married the love of her life, Glen Noland, and together they raised four children: Michelle, Glen II, Dale, and Tiffany. Later in life, Nancy was blessed to find love again with her significant other, Robert Hill, with whom she shared many years of companionship before his passing.
A talented florist for more than 30 years, Nancy’s creativity and skill earned her recognition as the second-ranked floral designer in the state of Missouri. She shared her gift by creating beautiful arrangements not only for her work but also for her family, friends, and community. Nancy also worked for many years at Our Lady of Guadalupe School as both a lunch lady and after-school care provider, where she touched countless young lives with her sharp wit, steady presence, and open heart. She also gave her time to parish events, often preparing food for bingo nights, carnivals, and fish fries.
Nancy’s home was always a safe haven — a place of laughter, love, and good food. She loved sewing, crafts, and baking, often making custom pieces for her children and grandchildren. She was known for giving even when she had little to spare, always ready to help a neighbor, a friend, or anyone in need. Her family will remember her as not only a mother and grandmother but as a second mom and grandma to anyone who needed one.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Noland; her significant other, Robert Hill; her parents, Josephine and William Boyce; her sister, Sally Wynn; her brother, Richard Boyce; and her granddaughter, Coralynn Porter. She is survived by her children Michelle (Jerry) Walker, Glen (Christine) Noland II, Dale Noland, and Tiffany Noland; her grandchildren Destiny Schindler, Alyssa, and Zachary Walker; Shania and Glen Noland III; Da’Vohn and Daylen Noland; and Da’Cora Porter; and her great-grandchildren Skylar, Tyana, Zy’Aire, and Zola. She also leaves behind her siblings William Boyce, Thomas Boyce, Yvonne Boyce, and Mary Boyce, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Ferguson, Missouri, with a repast to follow.
Nancy will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and creativity that will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
