Born July 30, 1951 to Jim and Jean (Gilbertson) Michaelis in San Francisco Ca.
Graduated high school in Newcastle Wy. 1969
Attended University of Wyoming 1970 -71
Married: Frank (Jed) Rambin 1980 in Gillette, Wy., had son Josh, 1981. (Divorced in 1998).
Moved to Sacramento 1998, Met future husband, John Kerhlikar in 1999. Cohabitated in 2000, Married: (11-1-11) in Maui, Hawaii.
Survived by: husband John Kerhlikar, son, Josh Rambin, step daughters-in-law, Jamie (Kerhlikar) Price (husband, Rick) Sacramento Ca, Jodie (Kerhlikar) Robinson, (husband, Kevin) and step son-in-law, Johnathan Kerhlikar (wife, Cara). grand children: Jett Rambin, step grand childern: Libby and Maggie Price, and Joran Kerhlikar.
Siblings: Sister: Jane Sukut. Brothers: Jim, Tim and Kim Michaelis,
Worked for the engineering firm of CH2MHill in Sacramento, Ca. as a graphic designer from 1998 until retirement in 2018.
Hobbies: Travel, Golf, Reading, Painting.
The above doesn’t due justice to the remarkable lady Nancy was. We all know what a beautiful person and how well read she was. She had the largest collection of books - that may rival many small libraries. And that doesn’t include the hundreds of books on her Kindle. She was the most approachable and least judgmental person you would ever want to meet. She was a great listener, and loved a good personal story from anyone and everyone. Her letters to all where ‘frameable' - she was a great writer.
She brought life and fun to every party and would always be up for a night out. John and she traveled all over the U.S. and Canada and Europe many times over, and even ventured to Africa and Madagascar.
All will miss her dearly.
A memorial celebration is planned on her 70th birthday, this July 30th at the Cielo Winery in Shingle Springs. RSVP:at j.g.k@sbcglobal.net
