Nancy's obituary
Nancy Viola Fox, 69, of West Springfield, MA, passed away on February 15, 2023 after a difficult battle with ovarian cancer.
Nancy was born on May 18, 1953 to Thomas and Gloria (Bowell) Fox residing in Magnolia, NJ. After Nancy graduated from Sterling High School in 1971, she went on to study Bachelor Arts at Glassboro State College.
After graduating with a degree in Kindergarten-Primary Education, she went on to teach Elementary School in Gloucester County. In 1976, Nancy went on to have two children, Lori Lee Harris and Kristy Lee (Harris) Barcia.
While raising her children she began her career in the United States Postal Service as a clerk in 1983, supervisor 1996, Postmaster in order of Cape May Courthouse -1998, Serving as The Honorable Postmaster General in offices Williamstown-2003 and Atlantic City 2008, before securing the Manager of Labor Relations for Connecticut District -2010. She dedicated 28 years to her career in servicing these communities.
In 2011, Nancy retired and spent her time enjoying life every single day. She loved her African Grey parrot Toby, spending time in her kitchen baking and cooking, exercising, gardening, bird watching, shopping, vacationing, reading, and watching her Phillies and Eagles but most of all catching up with her close family and friends.
Nancy was predeceased by her father and mother. She is survived by her two daughters, two Sisters Linda and Cheryl, five grandchildren Robert, Katelin, Elyse, Justin, Erica and her grand pup Bailey who all will miss her dearly.
