Nancy's obituary
After spending many years at home raising her family, Nancy enjoyed a long and successful career as an Administrative Assistant at Canby Maloney CPA firm and at Babson College. She also worked in the family business at the former Wickford Flowers.
Nancy enjoyed some traveling in her life with her favorite destinations being Europe, Ireland, and Saratoga, New York. She cherished her time at the family lake house in Sterling MA with her children, grandchildren and extended family. In her later life, Nancy was active in the Plum Beach Garden Club in North Kingstown, RI. Nancy loved browsing in bookstores, relaxing in her garden, caring for her beloved cat and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Sheree A. Beissner and husband Fred of Attleboro, MA; Thomas J. Davey of Fort Pierce FL; Michael J. Davey of Milford MA; and Erin L. Foster of Three Rivers, MA; her grandsons, David Beissner and Eric Beissner of Northborough, MA; her former husband, Thomas E. Davey of Milford, MA; her sister Kathleen Romeo & husband Frank of Wickford, RI; brothers Norman Schartner and Richard Schartner of Exeter, RI along with many in-laws, nieces and nephews - all of whom she adored.
Her Mass of Christian Burial, to which family and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 13th at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852. Burial at the family plot in S. Berlin MA will be private and held at a future date. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, Nancy’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Plum Beach Garden Club, c/o Ellen Abell, 126 Pine Glen Drive, East Greenwich, RI 02818. This organization is a group of gardeners dedicated to community beautification, environmental conservation and education. www.plumbeachgardenclub.org
