Background
Nancy was an artist and teacher who believed in arts education and elevating women in the arts. She believed in empowering women and girls in particular through education. Nancy spent her own high school years in Puerto Rico, and she had many important women in her life pass from cancer. San Jorge is a hospital, affiliated with St. Jude's, which provides care for women and children in Puerto Rico.
