Blaido, Nancy Lynn (Olson) age 72 of Virginia, MN, passed away at home with family by her side on February 12th, 2026, after a short battle with breast cancer. She was born in El Paso, TX, on January 8th, 1954, while her dad was in the army (Korean) at Fort Bliss. 

Survived by daughter Shay (Adam) Johnson, son Reid Blaido, grand children Trent and Brooke Johnson, siblings Vicki Fell, Bryan (Julie) Olson, Mary Jo Janousek, close cousin Deb Erjavec, and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Neil and Vera Olson, sister Kathy Ostrowski, brother Gregg Olson, former husband and friend Steven Blaido.

Nancy grew up in New Brighton, MN and graduated from Mounds View High School in 1972. She has lived in Coon Rapids, Ely, and Virginia, MN, and was a proud former employee of Medtronic. She loved the peace and quiet of living up north and the occasional cruise or vacation trip.

She was a caregiver to many, and would lend a helping hand to all. To honor her wishes, a small intimate gathering of immediate family will take place.
