Nancy's obituary
Nancy Ann Bianchi Post, 70, of Minneapolis, passed away on February 25, 2025, from complications related to a brief battle with a rare and aggressive cancer.
Nancy was born on July 19, 1954, to Dorothy & Joseph Bianchi in Minneapolis. After graduating from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1972, Nancy attended community college, before going on to work in healthcare and accounting.
Nancy had a creative soul, and loved to work with textiles which included macramé, embroidery, and beading. She was a voracious reader, especially fantasy fiction. Her favorite authors included Roger Zelazny, Anne McCaffrey, and John Varley. As a child of the 60s, her favorite bands/musicians included Cream and, obviously later on, Prince.
Nancy had an easy, contagious laugh and a wicked sense of humor. A lover of animals, her home welcomed many cats over the years, and there is a rumor that she watched over and fed a local family of raccoons for a period of time. Allegedly.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy & Joe.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dennis Post, and her daughter, Nicole Weaver; brothers Tom Bianchi (Debbie), Dave Bianchi (Michelle), Jim Bianchi (Muriel), and John Bianchi (Scott Warrender), as well as a large extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.
