Nancy dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Nancy excelled at propping up members of her family and community and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was supporting physically or emotionally, she made it her mission to help improve the lives of others. Mom was a gifted story teller in her writings and speaking and loved to make people laugh. In her early years, she loved dancing and ice skating.
Mom led a very full life and kept her devotion to Jesus Christ at the core of what she did. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found praising and worshipping her love for the Lord, even at age 8 leading a church service.
Nancy was a passionate caregiver of the elderly. Her kind and caring spirit was highlighted as a nurse in elderly nursing homes for many years. She loved doting on the elderly and giving them care and comfort in their twilight years. The work she achieved during her lifetime affected many with love, patience, and acceptance.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Jimmy Nedwell of Centennial, CO, Brenda Leeman of Freeport, ME, Kimberly Steeves of Brunswick, ME and Philip Nedwell of Cape Elizabeth, ME. Mom kept her family at the center of her world loving her 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren that she would brag about and put a smile on her face. Mom was a beautiful woman, inside and out, truly a one of a kind. Her family remembers her very caring and unselfish nature and she regularly sacrificed herself for other’s needs.
