December 23, 2020 Papa was writing his Christmas cards to his Grands and great grandchildren. He wrote them in numerical order by birth, writing on each envelope 1st, 2nd, 3rd then their names. He had a little trouble remembering what the shorthand is for 4th. I said “TH” he continued to write them 5th, 6th, 7th, ... 13th. Tired at the end he said, “Man I have a lot of THs.” I laughed saying they all love you so. He said, “I love all of yous.”(Then with tears in his eyes) he said, “That’s all I could ask for. “ This is a quote from the author of Winnie the Pooh A.A. Milne. “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” How lucky we are to have had him for so long. That’s all we could have ask for.
I met your Dad when he and your grandfather were building your home. He was very nice to us kids made us feel welcome. I got to hold everyone of you as new babies. Your parents were special I wish we could be there to honor your Dad with you. He was a great man. With sincere sympathy, jean Shipherd
I met Naido 17 years ago when Cara became my sister-in-law. From the very first time that I met him he made me feel his special warmth immediately. He treated me so well and always made me feel very special. He has always held a special place in my heart. ❤ I have not seen him in a while and that makes me feel sad. He was a very special person and he will be greatly missed! For Nardo's family, May fond memories help you through this difficult time. I am truly sorry for the loss of a wonderful man!
So saddened to hear that Naldo Galassi passed away last night at the age of 91. He is the father of my companion Marc Galassi. Both Alina and I have spent many hours with Naldo and Marc. Their family has shown us warmth and friendship over the last ten years. He was a warm and loving man and treated Alina like a granddaughter. An avid reader and we would often discuss the political climate and current events..on which we agreed on the details. He was great to talk to and great to be around.. always a smile on his face. He will surely be missed.
