Naikel's obituary
The season of life for Naikel Raheem Oywtez Bass began on June 12, 1993, in Albany, Georgia. He was welcomed into the world as the loving son of Robert Bass and Resheka Ford-McCrayAs a young child, Naikel was taught to love the Lord and was nurtured in the Word while attending Christian Covenant Church and the Jericho Club. He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System and actively participated in various school activities and events.
Naikel’s interest in construction and skilled technical trades heightened significantly after his school years and he worked unremittingly to masterroofing as he entered the workforce. He was later employed as a TLE technician at Wal-Mart where he labored untiringly and took great pride in his work.
A truly devoted family guy, Naikel enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved the most. No matter what type of setting, people gravitated toward him for a chat and a laugh. He found joy in every circumstance big or small and could provide comic relief through anything. When in his presence, there was never a dull moment. Naikel will long be remembered as funny, determined, selfless, and caring.
On September 18, 2021, 28-year old Naikel Bass took his final breath while attempting a selfless heroic act along with his stepson, KaydenEvans. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mary Francis Bass and Johnnie Mae Ford; and great aunts, Brenda Lee West, and Johnnie Louis Kimbrough.
Cherished memories will forever remain with his parents, Robert Bass of Albany, GA and Resheka Ford-McCray (Quinton) of Tallahassee, FL; his son, Syncere Ali Bass of Cairo, GA; stepchildren, Deshon Perkins and Kamrynn Evans of Bainbridge, GA; grandfather, Johnny Graddy; nine siblings, Fernando Ford, Joshua Harp, Antonio Williams, Jabrayiel Ford, Kirston Ford, Brittany Ford, Robrianna Bass, and Alexus Ford all of Tallahassee, FL, and Ethan Bass of Albany, GA; aunts and uncles, Latressa Jackson, Y’teela Ford, Sabriecka Ford, Tonya Bass, Elizabeth West, Ann Bass, Sheila Bass, Silver Bass, Neisha Bass, Tardavious Ford, Ernest Ford, Vernard, Bass, Rico Bass and Foster Bass all of Albany, GA; a very special friend, Renesha Evans of Bainbridge, GA; TLE crew of Walmart Supercenter #5422 of Bainbridge, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
