My wife, Kathy, and I first met Myralon (and Jake) when I was assigned to the 123rd Signal Battalion in Wurzburg, Germany. She was the wife of Jake, our Executive Officer during my time there.
From our perspective, we hit it off well upon first meeting. I recall when we were in temporary quarters, Jake and Myralon would come over and play Trivial Pursuit. We had many fun times during the next 2- years. It only got better from our perspective and as we came to know what a wonderful family they were.
I will miss her and the times we spent together in a far off land.

My family was devastated to learn of Ms. Simmons’s passing on FB today. I regret wasn’t to pay our deepest respects to her at the memorial service yesterday. Ms. Simmons was like a second mom to me when I was a young teenager living in Germany. Our families were inseparable back then, and I she was a wonderful matriarch of what is truly one of America’s great families. I still cherish a Bible she and Col Simmons gave me after my college graduation. My parents and especially my mother considered her a dearest friend and mentor. There are no words to express the positive impact she had on us. My family is richer for having been blessed to know her.
Col Simmons, Jacob and Jonathan, please accept our deepest regrets and condolences
With love and sorrow, Chris

While we grieve lets also celebrate the beautiful life Myralon lived. She was a remarkable person, a beautiful soul. Her positive memory will always be with us. The world has lost a bright light, her impact will be felt for years to come.
My dear friend (Jake) may your faith bring you strength and solace during this difficult time, you are in our hearts and prayers.

Our heartfelt condolences to Jake and Myralon’s family. We first met Myralon 50 years ago (1975) when I was assigned to Jake’s Company in the 123rd Signal Bn in Würzburg, Germany. We became good friends with them and attended many activities together.
Myralon was a special person, very personable, kind, welcoming, and a good friend. She is with Jesus now, but has left an emptiness for her family that will take some time to learn to live with.
We’ll miss her.
