Myles's obituary

Myles

Son.

Brother.

Boyfriend.

Best Friend.

Myles was this and more to many, and touched so many lives. The world lost one of its brightest stars this week; please consider donating to help cover expenses during this tragic time. Every donation of any size will allow us to focus on grieving and do right by Myles to have the service he would wanted. We are deeply grateful for your support during this tragic time.

The task of summing up the totality of everything Myles was in just a few words seems like an impossible one, but I’m going to try none the less. Please take some time to read through everything that made Myles great and leave a memory of what his lasting impact on you was.

Myles was born on September 10th, 2004 to Tammy Rouse, from Lockport, NY. He was the youngest of 3 brothers, older brother Tyler Rouse and eldest brother, myself, Nick Rouse. Myles had a great family and support system, he leaves behind his two grandparents, Sue Rouse and Pat Reinard; as well as his uncle and aunt Dave and Joy Rouse; and cousin Kale Rouse.

Myles had many passions in life but nothing put a smile on his face quite like it did when he was with his girlfriend, Emilie Fregoe; and spent time with his beloved baby kitties Lily and Jasper.

It’s impossible to overstate the quality of human being that Myles was, truly the best of us, having overcome so much adversity and still finding the time to be the best problem solver I have ever met. No task was too large, no issue too insurmountable; he was always willing to help. He was so patient, and such great listener. Even at the age of just 20; he had emotional intelligence far beyond his years. Every conversation I had with him inspired me to be a better man, and to love others like he did. Myles was the best of us.

A song lyric that has resonated with Tyler and I in the past few days is “Take the credit, take the blame whenever you hear my name. Either way, you sculpted me”

Myles was so intrinsically involved with all of our lives, and shaped us into the people we are today. We can all take a page from his book, and be better to each other.

Take some time out of your day and tell someone that you love them. Myles never hesitated to say it and we could all stand to hear it a little more.

Rest easy brother, we love you so much
