Mrs. Annora Ross King-Lawson—affectionately known as Mother Lawson, Aunt Sue, and Susie—was born on March 21, 1923, in Louisville, Kentucky, and raised in Indianapolis as the second oldest of eight children. She is survived by her sister Mrs. Mary Ross-Moore. She became the spiritual and emotional anchor of the Ross family. She graduated from Crispus Attucks High School and later completed wartime medical training at Fort Benjamin Harrison, serving as a nurse’s assistant during World …
