Morris was just a cool guy. I enjoyed working with him and getting to know him!

We were both incredibly lucky to spend time with Morris in various locations around the world - cycling and mountain biking in Austin, more cycling in the south of France and breath -taking ocean swims in Manly and Noosa, Australia. But, probably the location that took pole position was spending time with him in one of his favourite backyards, Aspen, Colorado. We will never forget his lust for adventure and the outdoors.
The laughs and energy he brought to every occasion whenever we caught up was top drawer.
It meant so much to us to have the opportunity to spend time with Morris, Laurie, Lila and Spencer towards the end and to be able to tell him how much joy he brought to our lives and how he will continue to feature large in everything we do. You’ll be missed, amigo.
Although we can’t be there in person on the 10th, our thoughts will be firmly with Laurie, Lila and Spencer and all who loved Mo.

Laurie, and the whole Denton family: I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss. I had the joy of working with Morris at Cunningham and AMD, and knew him to be not only a strong leader and communicator, but also someone who brought such spirit and humor to everything and everyone. He will be missed!

From Austin to the Big Apple to Australia. From IBM to ACL to AMD. Each journey was memorable. You will be missed, Morris.

We feel so grateful that your family made its way to TC and that we had the chance to spend time with Morris and Laurie. In those gatherings, it became clear that Morris had a rare gift with people—warm, genuine, and able to make anyone feel seen. He and Laurie were the kind of couple you immediately know are rare and special, the kind you simply hope to have more time with.
I’ll always remember the dinner when we learned Morris was an author and listening to the passion in his voice as he described his characters. We ordered his book that night and thought of him with every turn of the page.
As I read through these stories, it’s evident Morris had a rare gift for bringing encouragement, joy, and genuine presence into people’s lives. I can’t help but consider the lesson represented in his—an adventurous spirit and rich life, that reminds us that it’s the experiences and the people who matter most. We have no doubt his legacy will continue through each of his family members and dear friends.
Knowing December 10th has held so many joyful celebrations with Morris over the years, we can only imagine how meaningful it will be to gather on his birthday once more—this time to honor his life. What a truly special and unforgettable day it will be.
With love,
Dannielle & David

Was lucky enough to meet the amazing Morris Denton in 2005 thanks to his close mate Mark Webber. We hit it off straight away and I was lucky enough to meet his lovely wife Laurie and the kids years later in Austin. I’m shattered he’s gone but rapt he bundled lots into his life and those around him. Am proud after 20 years of sporadic contact (I’m based in Australia) to call him a mate.

Mojo, I lost track of how many times we met for Maudie’s or at Matt’s El Rancho. Having you as a leader and mentor was one of the great privileges of my life, and being your friend was a gift.
Can’t wait to ride again together someday!
