Morakot's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Morakot "Mack" Ruxsaksriskul on May 9, 2023, just a day after his 76th birthday. Born on May 8, 1947, Mack was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, who brought joy and love to all who knew him. He was predeceased by his father, Lok Kuan Saeaui, mother, Wandee Amparwong, and brother Saruwaut Sae Aui.
Morakot, also known as Mack, is survived by his son, Michael Ruxsaksriskul, daughter-in-law Kassie Edwards-Ruxsaksriskul, and grandchildren Tatiana, Selah, Ju'Leah, Rhema, and Mikai Ruxsaksriskul who knew him as "Grandpa Marsh". He is also survived by his sisters Nitaya, Somchit DaengPiam, Somjai, and Duangkamon Ruxsaksriskul, brother Aunsol Sae Aui, and nieces Orraphan Sae-Iao and Sarocha Patharawiroonkorn.
Mack was a devoted attendee at Wat Thai DC, a Buddhist Temple, where he found spiritual solace and peace. His favorite foods included Pho, and he had a fondness for water as his favorite drink. He enjoyed many recreational activities, such as cooking, antiques, visiting the shooting range, and trading religious relics. His favorite local spots included the basketball court and the casino.
Mack was passionate about causes related to guns and displayed a generous, ambitious, and jovial personality. He will be remembered for his unconditional love, immense generosity, and infectious laughter that brightened the lives of many.
A Memorial service for Morakot will be held on June 4, 2023, at 3:30 PM, at Michael and Kassie's home in Lanham, MD. A Thai funerary ceremony will be held on August 17, 2023, at 4:00 PM in Bangkok. Mack's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Mack, and may your legacy continue to inspire and uplift those who cherish your memory.
