Nica was the best friend of my beloved niece Bianca Carvallo. Anyone who was that treasured by Bianca must have been wonderful. I didn’t know her except through my niece’s caring and then grieving. Terrible to have terminal illness at such a young age.

I worked with Monique at the Firkin Pub during the summers I came home from school. She had a contagious energy and we shared many laughs. She had a natural ability to make everyone laugh. Monique was effortless in the way she made me feel welcomed, she invited me out to a pool party and even to the beach with a few other co-workers and her own friends.

I’ll always remember Monique. My deepest condolences to her family, her partner and all those who loved her.
