Monico “Nic” Hernandez Regalado, 74, of Colton, CA passed away of natural causes on 30 August 2018. He was one of six children born to Raymond M. Regalado, Sr. and Frances H. Regalado. He is survived by his family and the many friends he made throughout his full and varied life.

To those who had the pleasure of knowing Nic, he was charismatic and fearless. Nic enlisted in the Army National Guard as soon as he could do so. He then enlisted with the Air Force and worked as a repair technician on helicopters. His time spent abroad in the Air Force and in particular his time stationed in Okinawa stimulated his interest in martial arts and his love of karate. Nic earned his black belt in Shotokan karate with the Riverside Karate Club, participated in multiple tournaments and went on to start his own karate club in Rialto, CA which he ran for several years. His love of teaching karate to kids was exemplified in the pride and care he showed for his students. Sensei was one of many of his careers which also included psychiatric nursing technician, professional driver and process server. Nic’s many talents and warm, kindhearted presence will be greatly missed.

A memorial celebration of Nic’s life will take place on 18 September 2018 at 2PM at the American Legion Post #777, 194 E 40th St, San Bernardino, CA 92404.
