Monica Rose Elmore, 40, of Las Animas, Colorado passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Monday, April 15, 2024. She was born to Larry and Deborah Elmore on May 6, 1983.

Monica was a graduate of Las Animas High School. She participated in 4-H and rodeo throughout her youth and was a great lover of animals. She always had a ready smile, a kind word, or something funny to say. Monica was a loving mother of two children, a devoted aunt to seven nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews. Monica had a nurturing spirit and loved children, often “adopting” kids from the community, sharing meals, and offering a safe place to stay. She was beloved by many and will be missed greatly.
