Mona Ruth (Meabon) Smith, age 68 of Columbia, SC passed away October 14, 2025 at her residence. Born January 27, 1957 in Jamestown, NY. She was the daughter of Freemont Meabon and Mariam Mildred (Duell) Meabon. Both precede her in death. Mona leaves behind 4 children and numerous grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother and three sisters; Monty Meabon, Benita Parker, Dawn Meabon, and Mary Land. Mona was a homebody later life. She found joy in simplicity. Listening to music, reading, chatting with family and friends. She was of Mormon faith and enjoyed being present at church. There will be no public visitation or funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Columbia, SC.
