Mrs. Mollie Dale Brown Wimberly, age 64, of Vidalia, died Friday, December 13, 2019 at her home after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Vidalia and a 1973 graduate of Vidalia High School. She earned an Associate degree from Brewton-Parker College in Medical Office Administration and a minor in Music. She sang in the choir in high school and college. She worked at Meadows Health in Vidalia and CareOne for many years and more recently at Oxford Industries. Mollie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia, the Joy Sunday School Class, ministered in the Children’s Department and also played hand bells. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Wimberly and her father Delmos Brown.

Mrs. Wimberly is survived by her daughter Heather Wimberly Betsill and husband Gabe; her mother Edna Rountree Brown; three grandchildren Gabby Betsill, Bella Betsill and Ian Betsill, all of Vidalia; three aunts Leila Rountree Smith of Vidalia, Melba Rountree Howard of Leesburg, Velma Rountree Phillips of Camilla; two uncles Herbert Rountree of Macon and Wendell Rountree of Vidalia, and several cousins.

The funeral service will be held Monday, December 16th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Don Moye and Reverend Tracy Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00.
