It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Moises Vazquez, who departed from this world on November 13, 2024. Born on September 4, 1951, Mr. Vazquez graced this world with his presence for 73 memorable years. He leaves behind a loving family, consisting of his devoted wife, Elizabeth Tamayo, whom he married in the joyous year of 1996, and his caring children, Moises Tamayo and Areley Vazquez.
Having moved to Memphis, TN in 2001, Mr. Vazquez quickly grew fond of the city and its famous Memphis BBQ, which became one of his favorite foods, alongside Arroz con Habichuela. Being a lover of the simple joys of life, he also adored spending serene moments at any beach, his favorite vacation spot.
In 2018, Mr. Vazquez achieved one of his most notable accomplishments—becoming a US citizen, which symbolizes his determined spirit. His love for music, with favorites such as Marc Anthony and Irakere, as well as his affinity for the movie Interstellar, reflects his appreciation for the arts.
Mr. Vazquez was also known for his fondness for Mojito and wine, which never failed to invigorate his spirits. Although he was stern and level-headed, he possessed a loving heart that always cared for the wellbeing of his family, the cause he held closest to his heart.
His personality was characterized by a stern, yet loving and level-headed demeanor. He firmly believed and taught the lesson of treating everyone with respect, thereby sowing the seeds of kindness and compassion within his family and everyone who had the privilege to know him.
Mr. Vazquez leaves behind a legacy of kindness, marking the significant impact he made on the lives of the people around him. Although his physical presence will be greatly missed, the lessons he shared and the love he spread will forever remain alive in the hearts of those dear to him.
