Mohammad's obituary

NEWBURYPORT — Mohammad Miri, 68, passed peacefully surrounded by family in the early morning hours of 17 April 2025. Beloved husband of Mary McCormack, loving father of son Darius and wife Alyssa and daughter Soraya. He also leaves his brother Abdul and wife Parvin, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his brother Hossein.

Mohammad recently retired from Massachusetts General Hospital where he had worked for many years. He found purpose and pride in his work and deeply valued the opportunity to contribute to cancer research.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the compassionate and capable hospice providers from Care Dimensions and the skilled and steadfast doctors and nurses from Massachusetts General Hospital who helped Mohammad throughout the course of his illness.

Private service to be held to honor Mohammad’s life. The family appreciates your thoughts and condolences at this time and welcomes you to honor Mohammad’s memory in your own way.
