Misty's obituary
Misty Victoria (Beckner) Bryant of Vancouver, Washington, passed away on August 25, 2025, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington.
Misty grew up in Brea, California, and attended Sonora High School. She later made her home in Vancouver, Washington. She was opinionated, loving, kind, and full of laughter. She spoke her mind, but always from a place of care, and the people around her knew they could count on her honesty as much as her compassion.
Misty married William Bryant, and together they built a warm, welcoming home filled with love, humor, and countless memories. Her greatest joy was being “Mom” to their son, Colin. She was endlessly proud of him—of his kindness, his curiosity, and the person he is becoming. Everything she did, she did with him in mind.
Misty worked in optometry at LensCrafters, where she cared for patients and helped people see more clearly every day. She took pride in her work and in the relationships she built with coworkers and customers over the years.
She had a lifelong love of musical theater and could never resist a good show. Her favorite TV show was “I Love Lucy,” and she cherished its classic humor and heart. Misty loved to laugh—big, genuine laughs that filled the room—and she found joy in sharing that laughter with the people around her.
Misty is survived by her husband, William Bryant; her son, Colin Bryant; and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Victoria Beckner, and loved ones who welcomed her home with open arms.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Anaheim, California, where family and friends gathered to share memories and honor Misty’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Misty by making a donation to an organization supporting breast cancer or multiple sclerosis research.
Her story, love, and laughter will live on in all who were lucky enough to know her.
