Personal note from Family

Memories
Life can never stay the same
No matter how we try
Our hands can never stop
The clock of life from ticking by
But love remains, unchanging
In the care of sorrowing hearts
For as the love of life is stilled
The love of memory starts
-Catherine Turner

Following my Aunt’s peaceful transition, Rouse Crematory received her body. High Point University will briefly study her, allowing her to contribute to research in search for medical understandings for cures. My brother Trey will receive her remains, which he plans to scatter at our grandmother’s gravesite. This honors our Aunt’s wish to be cremated and beautifully continues her lifelong purpose as a teacher and nurturer of others💛 Even after completing her earthly journey with us, Ran will help future healers learn and grow, a final act of generosity and wisdom. Through this gift, her experience with dementia, breast cancer, and meningiomas may one day contribute to breakthroughs in understanding and care🙏🏾🤞🏾 In honoring her wishes, there will be no formal funeral or memorial service. Instead, we honor her life in the quiet, personal ways she lived it — with love, gratitude, and peace. High Point University holds an annual memorial service, and now my aunt’s name will be inscribed on their 8’3” Tree of Life, a lasting testament to her spirit of service and light💛
