Mom's Birthday Dinner

My heartfelt condolences to all Minna loved, because she loved others deeply and well. Minna was someone I affectionately referred to as, “Mrs. Jen’s mom.” And to be honest, I think she got a kick out of it! Whenever I had an opportunity to see her, whether the time between visits was great or small, she seemed thrilled and took a genuine interest in whatever was new with me. Mrs. Jen’s mom had the warmest  embraces and her smile beamed! Course most of that was due to pride she has for her beautiful and beloved daughter, Jennifer, who is also my best friend. While she was kind to everyone, her gentle ways with Jen exceeded all else, even during our mischievous teenage years! For many reasons, I have loved Mrs. Jen’s mom deeply. I think anyone who got to know her feels the same. 

My Aunt Minna was one of the most caring, loving and supportive people I’ve ever known. There were so many times in my life that she called me or sent a text to check on me, to see how I was doing or just to say she loved me. Most notably was after my divorce when she called me numerous times to check on me, tell me she loved me and gave me emotional support and advice.  She always seemed to know exactly when I needed to hear from her. She gave the best hugs and you could feel the love every time she hugged you. I will miss her more than words can say. I will miss getting calls or texts from her. I will miss her hugs. She leaves a void that will never be filled. Until we meet again one day Aunt Minna, rest in peace and know you are loved and missed more than I can say. Love you always Aunt Minna. You will never be forgotten.
