I am so sorry for your loss Courtney. I know how much you loved and cared for you mom. I can not imagine the sense of loss you are experiencing. My prayers go out to you and your family.
I will always cherish the thousands of memories I have growing up at my Aunt Minette’s house. I remember spending many summers as their live in babysitter and every summer and some weekends I would look forward to coming to their home. Minette taught me so much during those long weekends, she taught me how to make the best potato salad ever, she’s the reason I put fake poinsettias in my Christmas tree still to this day and you can thank her for my amazing wrapping skills! If I am being honest, Minette taught me a lot of womanly things I would have never learned otherwise being raised by a male. Though I don’t think I ever told her how much those moments meant to me or how much she taught me, I hope she saw a little of herself in me as I grew up and became a woman. May you Rest In Peace my sweet, life of the party and out spoken aunt. May you be giving my Dad hell and holding the love of your life, my uncle Dale tight! I will always be grateful for the memories!
