Millie C Lowry is singing praises and ice skating with Jesus today. Born Oct 2nd, 1931 and passed peacefully surrounded by family. Millie’s passions were her family, her dogs, anything outdoors and adventurous, but especially ice skating. She is survived by her sons Glenn (Jonelle) of Marysville CA, Floyd (Anna) of Las Cruces NM, and Brian (Michelle) of Republic MO. her 10 grandchildren and  6 great grandchildren, her sister Peggy , brother Bob, and her dogs Pixie and Bella who were her best friends.

In her early years she was a pastor’s wife who loved working with the children. She was an acclaimed vocalist. Later in life she went back to school earning her master’s degree in special education from NMSU specializing in education diagnostics. She loved helping college students succeed despite their challenges.

We will be celebrating her life at Las Cruces First Church of the Nazarene in June, 2026. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Las Cruces First Church of the Nazarene’s Nazarene Youth International fund for our local youth.
