Millan's obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Millan Culver, beloved wife, grandmother and friend. Born on September 10, 1944, she lived a full and vibrant life until her passing on April 30, 2025.
Millan was a beacon of love and strength to her family, including her devoted husband Kenneth; her sons Fredrik and Trenton; daughters-in-law Laura and Ashley; step-daughters Kelly and Susanne; her daughter Jessica and her cherished grandchildren Madelyn, Fredrik, Haley, Julia, Joseph, and Edyn.
An accomplished woman, Millan followed her passion for helping others by earning a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in Sweden. Millan moved to the United States in 1972, and working as a Medical Massage Therapist, she had the opportunity to help so many people. Those patients even included her loving husband when they met in Cincinnati, OH. Her adventurous spirit led her throughout the US and eventually to Singapore in 2000, and later to Simpsonville, SC in 2004.
Millan's love for Opera, Symphony, and Classical music was only matched by her passion for baking, painting, and knitting. Her warm and inviting personality made her home a haven for family and friends, and her strong will inspired those around her to strive for their own goals. Above all else, she taught everyone the importance of loving one another.
Millan and Kens love for travel took her to breathtaking places like Singapore, Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, and Phuket. There was not much of this world they didn't see. At the same time, she cherished local spots, like her local grocery stores, her neighborhood community and most of all, her food places.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Southeast Chapel. All those who knew and loved her are invited to gather, share memories, and pay tribute to her extraordinary life.
Millan leaves behind a legacy of compassion and invitation, challenging us all to live with open hearts and open homes. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
