Mildred “Millie “'s obituary

Mildred “Millie” Frances Hamilton, 74, passed away in the presence of loved ones on November 27th, 2019 at the Adler Center for Caring in Aldie, Virginia. She was born on August 1st, 1945 in Heerlen, Netherlands. At the age of two years old, her family moved to the United States. Mildred grew up in Arlington, Virginia, and attended Washington Lee High School.
She began working at People’s Life Insurance in Washington, DC when she was 17 years old. Then, she worked as a Real Estate Appraiser for Kisska Associate’s for many years. Eventually, she began working for Fairfax County Government Juvenile District Court until she retired.
Millie was married to David Hamilton in 1974, and they lived in Fairfax, Virginia. Millie and David were faithful members of Fairfax Baptist Temple. Millie enjoyed doing research on the computer, loved writing the monthly newsletter while working for the County, helping her friends and loved ones, and giving out Bible tracks wherever she went. In her spare time, she also loved to watch Netflix and Amazon. Some of her hobbies included sewing, bowling, and dancing.
After her husband David suffered a traumatic brain injury, her life revolved around caring for him and his needs until he passed way in 2009. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Bonnie, and her brother James. She was a proud grandmother of James and Melody. She was also loved dearly by her son-in-law, James, and her granddaughter-in-law, Fiorella.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Fairfax Baptist Temple or Capital Caring Hospice. A memorial service will be announced.
