Well it's been a year, seems like just the other day.  No matter how I felt, there was always a smile.  The day I found out she and I had the same middle name I was so happy.  From then on she was really my SISTER.  I was always in the balcony at church and was so happy when she showed up. You didn't have to say a word just look at her and there was that smile.  The times that I visited  their home I always left happy, I thank the Lord for letting me be a  small part of her life.  Rest in Heavenly Peace my sister, my friend.
She listened with her heart. She gave the very best of herself to others. She was sincerely accepting of difficult people ( once she spoke her mind). She was forgiving in a warm and loving way. I had mistakenly broken an item of value while visiting. Thinking she would be furious but ever changed by her calmness, peace and love she showed me along with a fixable solution. She was the mostess of the hostess. On a visit at mealtime she asked what I was able to eat (along with others) and catered to every need. All that she was, She IS and that much more Now in the presence of her creator, LORD and Savior, JESUS !!!

Millie was a precious gem whose hospitality and love of family and friends was phenomenal. She was so caring, giving, and loving among numerous other attributes. When we see a sparkling star in the sky, know that our precious gem is smiling down on us. I miss our daily talks. Prayers for the family and infinite number of friends whose lives were touched by the joy and love that Millie shared.

Celebrating Pete’s (Walter) Birthday at the house
The most beautiful, kind, God fearing, and loving spirit. The love she gave and shared with the Stewart family is something we will cherish forever. Her and her husband coming into Walter Stewart (now deceased) and wife, Betty Stewart’s life, as co-workers, in the US postal service was the start to many years of friendship, where Ms.Mildred became family. We love her oh so much and will never forget the imprint she made on our hearts and legacy of being an amazing wife, mother and true friend.

With Love, as your family is constantly in our thoughts and prayers...
-Betty Stewart, Jasmyne Stewart and Mark Stewart
