Mildred Sylvia Docktor née Himmelstein passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on April 10, 2023 in Ancram, NY. She was 102 years old.
Mildred, known fondly as “Millie” or “Aunt Mitz” was born on February 14, 1921 to Sam Himmelstein and Lillian Himmelstein née Galler in Philadelphia. As a child, she worked in her family’s Kosher-style restaurant, Himmelstein’s Restaurant and loved to bake as an adult. After graduating from Philadelphia High School for Girls …
