Cathy's obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. Mildred "Cathy" Cowley on August 25, 2025. Born in 1951, Cathy lived a life filled with kindness and compassion, consistently lending a hand to those in need. Her loving, insightful nature will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Cathy was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Mildred Edwards, and her son, George Livesay, Jr. She is survived by three of her children, Yvonne "Bonnie" Stevens-Livesay, Crystal Hines, and Mary Holton. Her granddaughter, Alana Howell, will cherish great memories of her. She also leaves behind her siblings, Shirley Newby, Yvonne Dennis, and Tolbert Edwards.

Cathy's legacy will be perpetuated through the lives of those she touched so profoundly during her time with us. She taught us to always be kind, a principle that was at the heart of her very essence. Her children loved her more than life itself. Her greatest accomplishment, she believed, was having her four beautiful children.

In lieu of traditional sympathy flowers, we ask you to consider contributing to the fund "Help Find Missing or Exploited Persons", which is being raised in Cathy's honor. You can find the donation page at this address: 'https://everloved.com/life-of…'

We mourn the loss of Cathy but take comfort in knowing that her spirit will forever be reflected in the goodness we put forth into the world, just as she did.
