Mike's obituary

Mike Boyer, a Friend of God, who carried the ability to brighten up any room with his laugh the moment he stepped in. For those who loved him and called him friend, he had the skill of capturing their heart through his own brand of kindness and care. He dedicated the greater portion of his life to sharing the love of God with those he encountered letting them know of the freedom and life available to them through Christ Jesus. Always willing to pause his day to pray for others…and jokingly with an attitude, charge them $29.95 for the prayer.

He was a master storyteller and many of us could tell countless stories of time spent with Mike. He never knew a stranger.
On September 1st, 2021 his story continued into a brand new chapter as he transitioned on into the presence of God.

Mike loved God. He loved his wife, family, and serving others. He also loved Green Chile Enchiladas.

His legacy will continue on as he is survived by his wife Colleen, his son, Michael and daughter, Verna. His three grandchildren, Soteria, Sedao, and Sigfried. Mother, Ruth, brothers, Mitch(Mickey)and Roland(Carley), and Sister Faith(Sam) and a host of loving nieces and nephews and a very extensive list of long time friends who were like family.

Though married only 4 short months, Mike and Colleen were friends who truly loved each other for 17 years prior. Her children Laura, Liz and Jared knew & grew up with Mike as t(w)eenagers. He was part of every major event during that time and quickly established a relationship with Colleen’s first born grandchild, Dylan, then the 5 others following.

A Legacy can be best described as not something that is left to us, but something that is left in us. To those who experienced Mike Boyer, he was a legend. And legends never truly die.
