My condolences to Mike's family. I grew up with Chris (Mike) living opposite the Basquill’s in Glenfield Road for many years. Chris was older than me and younger than my brother Simon. We spent hours and hours playing football together on the common and playing loads of sports together. My dad repaired the window of a flat in Emmanuel Road that Chris smashed with a cricket ball after he hit a six and the ball bounced on the road and straight into the unfortunate owner’s front room. We all went to Henry Cavendish school, and we are still friends with Rob. Sadly Barbara, Lynda and Chris (Mike) have all now passed away, but I have lots of happy memories to look back on of the two families growing up. My thoughts are with you Heather and Michael and all his friends and family.

If ever there was a person who was always jolly, good spirited, and a really nice person it was Mike. We instantly saw and felt that when we were at family gatherings with Mike. He was a precious addition to the family and we miss his clever wit and neverending humor. Thanks, Heather, for bringing Mike into our family. Gordy and Anita
I'm still feeling denial over the loss of Mike. It probably will be that way until the office opens again and his absence becomes all too real.
So much influence in our time together at work. So many breakfast mornings putting the world to rights. So many good and rowdy chats about football over beer and... just... So. Bloody. Funny.
He has been like a big brother to me for many years and I'm going to miss him terribly.
Rest in Peace, mate.
I am so very sorry Heather and Michael. I miss him so much. He was a great friend, co-worker and support for me when I lost my sister. He was truly loved and now missed.

My deepest condolences Heather, Mike and family.
I knew BFM from my Swindon and Denver days. He always had great life stories and of course that incredible sense of humor.
Many years after we met we discovered we only grew up a few miles apart in London.
He recalls that he went to school with my cousin. What a small world.
Mike, i know you’re smiling down on us. RIP my friend
Heather - My deepest condolences for your loss and may your deepest faith sustain you, always.
Matthew
Dear Heather, I only met Mike once, but we talked of him often. I feel like I knew him a little bit, but what I am certain of is that the two of you had a very special relationship. I remember you telling me about how happy he was to get his dream job with the WSP, because he got to carry a gun as part of his job!!! I also know anyone who was able to capture your heart must be an amazing human being, which his friends all confirm. Be kind to yourself, give yourself the gift of grieving at whatever pace you need. Know that there are lots of people standing by to help at a moments notice. Hugs and hopes for healing and peace, Scott
Heather, if there is anything you need. Even a sleep over with a big dog, Woodrow, just reach out. So sorry you and Mike went through the horribleness of Covid. All my love, Justine
Deepest condolences to you, Heather. I appreciate this glimpse into the life of your beloved husband. -Judith

A true loss and will be sadly missed. I will miss those funny / jovial lunchtimes at work talking about his past endeavors and even though Mike was a Chelsea fan and me a Gunner, I won't hold that against him. Rest in Peace Mike and our paths will cross again at a later date for sure. Lots of love and condolences to your family from a work colleague.
Really can't believe this is reality. Being apart of Mike's TPF fam @ Visa we are all shocked and saddened to hear that he has left us. But it was hard to hear everything he was going through with Covid, I'm glad that part for him is over. Mike was my boss when I first came on with Visa in 2013 I think we spent more time shootin' the breeze then talking about corporate expectations and milestones to accomplish lol. He was full of humor. I remember when we had our team's Christmas dinner and I brought my 5 yr old daughter along and when dessert came she had hers and started eyeballing Mike's dessert and he happily let her have his, very sweet. Mike was pretty strict with us at work but he always ended the day letting us know if we did a good job and that was truly a compliment. We all know work won't be the same without him.. life won't be the same. Sending your family much love and condolences for this immense loss.
I was at school with Mike (along with JP). He wasn't just a good footballer and basketball player, but the all round sports superstar in our year. Great cricketer - very fast bowler who I had to wicket keep for at times - painful. I remember a game where I think he bowled a large number of overs, took 5 wickets for 2 runs - that's an outstanding performance. He also excelled at athletics, cross country and was a korfball international. I'd sometimes go home with him and have dinner, then we'd go out on the common with his golf clubs. Through his sister Barbara I got many interesting summer jobs. I was in contact with him up to his Bank of America days as I had some other friends working there with him. Haven't seen him for over 35 years I suspect but he was a good friend and one of the finest sportsmen I've ever had the pleasure of playing with.

Hi young Mike and Heather, your tribute to your dad was as much as any dad could ask for and well said young man. Your dad had a heart of gold and was such a nice guy. I had the pleasure of working with him and knowing him since the 1990's. He was one of the best in so many ways.
RIP Mike - will never forget spending time at your penthouse atop Bank of America in Cherry Orchard Rd, Croydon UK
