I worked with Mika at KP many years ago , she was always willing to help and was such a kind soul . Heaven has been blessed with a true angel . My condolences to her family and all that knew her .

I first saw Mika when she was singing worship at our church.  We became closer friends around 2011. We served on Women’s Ministry together and she was an amazing greeter at our church. Every person that has ever come in contact with her has felt loved. She had a unique gift to show kindness.  She was such a giver. I would often tell her “Mika you don’t need to.” She loved to worship. She loved Jesus and she loved people.  She would often grab me and say are you doing ok! I always had to be honest and if I was going through something she would say “let me pray for you right now”

We really miss her at Harvest Church.  The women’s ministry team feels her vacancy. We are doing our best to fill her shoes.

I worked with Mika at Kaiser and just so appreciated her kindness to everyone. I retired some years ago and had not seen her for sometime. Her death and circumstances were heartbreaking news.  My sympathy to her family ,  it is unimaginable to think of her suffering this violence   I am so very sorry

I worked with Mika for years at Kaiser vallejo.  Even after I went to work in Vacaville we spoke from time to time.  She was always so kind and thoughtful, always took very good care of patients.  I was so shocked to hear of her passing. Knowing she knew the lord helps to know she is with him at peace now.  My heart goes out to her family.

I just found out today about Mika’s tragic death. She was one in a million. She will be so missed in all aspects of her life. She created and was the concierge program at Kaiser Vallejo ED. That is when I met her. I was skeptical that a “concierge” could be a part of the ED, being an ED nurse for so many years before becoming the ED director, but once I met Mika and saw the compassion and joy and helping hand that she brought to each and every encounter, I realized this could work. She was amazing!

Mike you left this world far too soon. You will be so missed and that space will not be filled. Love to you my friend.

I'm Courtney Sr. I have to say I'm totally shocked. For weeks I racked my brain to try and understand what my brother had told me back in November. I recently heard of Mika's passing, my condolences go out to your family. I'm glad the Wilson family put this together. I  forwarded this page to others who may not know . My memory of Mika started from the beginning as I knew Frank for many years before Mika. I saw how his life changed for what I felt was the better. The times that Frank and Mika would visit my wife and I were always heart warming, good people. Never in a million years would I or anyone I know would have seen this. So sorry about tragic loss. Words are not enough to describe how I feel. May your faith continue to guide you Wilson Family.

It was my second visit to Harvest Church. As I entered in through the “back door“ of the Brendan theater, she greeted me with a big hug and said “I love you so much!”  Now I am a hugger, so I really appreciate a good hug. But I wasn’t sure how she could sincerely say that. She loved me so much. She didn’t know me at all.  Nevertheless, I knew in my heart that she was entirely sincere in what she said.

That was in 2013. In the years since then I found that her sincere love for people, regardless of who they were or if she actually knew them was the real deal. I miss her so much.

Always being obedient to God's voice.
I witnessed Mika driving around with fast food looking for the person God told her to buy it for! Thats blind faith and obedience to the fullest! Mika was always so loving and kind. If you asked her for help, She was on it ! I will always remember her singing " His eye is on the sparrow" at Solid Rock COG Vacaville.

I was also involved in the music dept. at Solid Rock and because of Mika and Kendra even I sang some specials. I learned how to use my diaphram and open my mouth wide to project my voice and not yell but punch out notes I never thought I could hit. Mika was always a blessing to be around and I am blessed to have known her and call her my sister!

Mika loved unconditionally and without boundaries! She would advocate for all who asked her help! A lovely human being and the kindest person I've ever met!  I mean it, Genuinely Kind and loving! She truly was Christ like!

I will miss you my sister.................

Although I only worked at the same medical center as Mika for 2.5 years, Mika had an impact on me. She was so loving and welcoming and had an open heart. She was a delight and a wonderful human being. I miss you Mika.

Yumi, I talked with you briefly in the hallway. If you need to reach me, please email maryschoi@gmail.com.

Greetings to all who read this,

My name is Rosa Ochoa. I have known Mika for about 30 years. We share the same faith. We became friends at one of our denomination's annual state camp meetings. I was a teenager then, and Mika was on her Church’s praise team. She had just finished leading worship for this service, and I was the youth night's special singer before the main speaker.

Mika could tell I was nervous, so she hugged me, introduced herself, and encouraged me. We became friends from that moment on.

Mika had a contagious smile and laugh. All who knew her could see her love for God, music, people, food, and life. Mika and I never lived close to each other nor went to the same church, but we managed to attend concerts, women's conferences, and state events throughout our friendship.

Mika was an encouraging and supportive friend. When I was in college and started selling Mary Kay to support my income, Mika became a client. When I graduated from college with an MA in music, Mika was among the first to sign up for vocal and piano lessons.

I remember when she met Frank. I was entering grad school at the time. Mika was smitten. When I first met him, I was impressed by how he doted over her. It was also the first time I met Lena. I thought it was so kind how he cared for her as well.

When I learned what happened this past November, I was stunned.

Mika, you are missed terribly. I miss hearing you call me “Sis.” Thank you for being a kind and encouraging friend throughout my life. You will forever hold a special place in my heart.

To Mika’s family, I pray God’s comfort and peace rest upon you and that his strength will carry you. My deepest condolences.

Respectfully,

Rosa Ochoa

Mika was a crusader of goodness. She had no fear but fought all fear with love and overwhelming kindness. There was nothing she wouldn't take on, in the name of helping the injured and ill patients at Kaiser Vallejo Emergency Department. She sat in the ER waiting room (most people could not have done this) and helped anyone who needed help. She checked in with the doctors in the ER ("How can I help you Dr X?") frequently during her day and  meant it.  And did it. She was always cheerful and ALWAYS kind. She had no snarky answer, no mean spirit in her.  She was pure love, embodied in HER body. She was very Christ-like in all of her actions, or how I imagine Christ would be if he worked in a rough knife and gun club ER. I can't understand why she had to endure her tragic ending. We will miss her. Blessings to her family and close friends, you were incredibly fortunate  to know an amazing woman.

Such a beautiful person, spirit, and personality!!!! I enjoyed her presence every time I was around her at work.  When I would greet her as Mikaroni she would reply “give me a minute, I haven’t had my coffee”. I am so deeply sorry and will pray for her loved ones.
I worked with Mika for many years and it deeply saddens me to hear of her passing. I won't forget how beautiful she was inside and out. May your soul rest in peace.

My fondest memory of Mika was our conversation about our Faith in Christ Jesus.

Mika had a Precious and Kind Spirit.

Though we had not worked together in many years, I often think about her after reading my Bible. She shared how she would keep her Bible open and have the word present, loved that !! At times when I’ve kept mine open, I think of her. That memory is stamped on my heart forever.

I know that the Lord embraced her when she went home and she is now at peace with him.

My Condolences to the family. May God Bless you and keep you.  I  work at Kaiser Vallejo. I  work with Mika . She had a Beautiful Spirit and a joy to work with. 😇🙏🏽♥️
When I first started working at Kaiser Vallejo she was one of the first person I would see. Her beautiful smile was contagious and I would stop & talk to her. She would always make  me feel more positive & make my day so much brighter. I was sad to see her transfer to Napa. I continued to reach out to her for her assistance and she was always ready to help in anyway she can. ( I just wanted to hear her cheery voice)  When I went to napa for my appointments I wasn’t familiar with the area and she was again the first person I saw. Seeing her always put a smile on my face & she would great me with her beautiful smile & no matter how busy she was, she would always take the time to chat with me. Mika you will be forever missed & loved. May you fly with the angels. My love and prayers to her family 🙏🏻
