I recently discovered Mikey passed. I didn’t know until now. We lost touch after briefly dating many years ago. I met Mikey through swing dancing in 2009. I’m saddened to learn of his passing. Like Mikey, I also have dysthymia and have experienced the wrath of this mental illness on many occasions throughout life. In fact it came up in conversation a couple times between us. I send my deepest condolences to Mikey’s family whom I’ve met and briefly got to know, all such wonderful people.

Mikey, I still miss you and think of the fun we had dancing with you for many years. When we grooved, we were on fire! I will always remember you helping with the slideshow at my wedding. You were always so kind and gracious. Thank you for being a trusted friend that kept me safe. I hope to see you in Heaven one day. I know you're there. I'm really sad we moved away and lost touch. I feel terrible for that. I wish I would have gotten to meet your sweet wife and girls more than once and offer them real support as they grieve the loss of you.

I'll never forget you. .. I will lift your family and friends up in prayer every year on this heavy day. The world is a much darker place without you. I miss you so much and still can't believe you're gone. We love you, buddy.

It was my 65 th birthday I had just had breast cancer surgery and back surgery but studied dance all my life prior so joe and Diana our neighbors took us to clubhouse and Mikey did the jitterbug w me and I laughed and had the best time then he taught my hubby and myself “a move” we used years later and win a family dance contest I will think of that always as I know he’s in heaven dancing up a storm! He’s making all the older ladies think they’ve teenagers again in Heaven as well

The entire Segura family is always in my heart. To me, Mikey will always be Vanessa’s baby brother. Even as we got older, and he became an adult, he was always 12 years old in my mind. Mikey was one of the good ones. I had the pleasure of knowing Mikey very well through Swing Dancing and got to teach several classes with him. He was such a gentleman. Years ago, before he was married, he would take me out on friend dates because my husband only trusted him. My husband was out on oil rigs most of the time and I was very lonely. Mikey was such a kind, fun, bright spot in my life. I'm forever grateful to him and miss him so much. I can't believe he is gone. I pray he finally has peace in Heaven.
