Miguel Angel Cantú passed away on August 3, 2022, in his home in Clute, Texas at the age of 71. He was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and came to IL in the 70’s where he planted roots in the Quad Cities with his Parents and Siblings. Miguel was a concrete finisher and skilled carpenter. He was always taking on remodeling projects to help others. He retired from Laborers’ Local Union 309.

He volunteered many hours as a layman in his local community churches. He will be remembered by his big smile and kind heart. He will be missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

He was predeceased by his parents Esther and Jose Cantú and niece Ceci Nache, and is survived by Spouse: Esperanza Cantú, Children: Miguel, Patricia, Daniel, and David, Grandchildren: Nathan, Omar, Andres, Luis, Mia, Lorenzo, Eduardo, Jacob, and Mateo, Siblings: Felipe, Esther, Nora, Carlos, Ricardo, Alex, and Ramon.

If you would like to join the family in honoring his life, there will be a Memorial service at Lincoln Park, Rock Island, IL on Saturday, August 13th at 12pm.
