Miguel's obituary
Miguel Angel Rivera, aged 63, passed away on January 19, 2026, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on August 28, 1962, Miguel dedicated much of his life to serving his community, first as a CNA and later as a bus driver for GG&C, roles that highlighted his caring and family-oriented nature.
Known for his humor and outspokenness, Miguel was deeply loved by those around him. His kindness and nurturing spirit were evident not only in his professional life but also through his personal interests. He was passionate about sports, music, reading, and watching movies, interests that he shared and enjoyed with his family and friends.
Miguel is survived by a loving and extensive family, including his sisters Migdalia Rivera, Lourdes Rivera, Maria Rivera Polizzi, and Krystene Arce; brothers Felix Rivera and Joel Rivera; daughters Alicia Rivera, Angelica Rivera, and Alexandra Rivera; son Anthony Rivera; stepson Michael Miller; ex-wife Lisa Rivera; eight grandchildren; his girlfriend, Renee Bridges; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. His life was preceded in death by his father, Dionisio (Johnny) Rivera Arce, and mother, Antonia (Lila) Ortiz Rivera.
A gathering to honor and celebrate Miguel's life will be held on Saturday, January 24th, 2026 at Pittsburgh Cremation. His legacy of laughter, love, and service will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
